A New & Better Eye Exam Experience

Precision is achieved by having the latest optometric technology and knowing how to maximize the medical information it has to offer. In our Copperas Cove eye care center, Dr. Young offers you both of these features. In our office, you will experience what it means to have an eye exam with both a top-notch optometrist and top-notch equipment.

While many optometry practices may have similar technology, no one else gives you the same advanced level of personalized, caring attention as Dr. Young. We perform all eye exams with genuine concern for your well-being and healthy, long-lasting vision.

As a family-friendly practice, we welcome patients of all ages. Our office is outfitted with high-tech devices, such as OCT scans (Optical Coherence Tomography), digital imagery, Pachymetry, and Visual Field Analysis. We will check your eyes thoroughly for any signs of eye disease, such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.

Treatment for Eye Disease & Vision Conditions

Medicine advances rapidly, with new treatments and approaches under constant development. Our Copperas Cove optometrist keeps up with all the latest medical progress to ensure you the best eye care possible. In addition to managing ocular disease and issuing exact prescriptions for vision correction (eyeglasses and contact lenses), we are also experienced in treating irritating conditions such as computer vision and dry eye syndrome. We will perform specialized eye exams to make an accurate diagnosis – and then we will provide the most effective treatment to relieve your symptoms. Your clear and comfortable vision is our goal.

Emergency Eye Care

Eye injury and eye infection can be scary and painful. Before you rush to the emergency room though, contact us for assistance. We can treat a wide range of eye emergencies in the comfort of our Copperas Cove optometry office. Our eye doctor is qualified and experienced with providing care for problems such as eye contact with a chemical or foreign substance, diagnosing and treating eye infection (such as conjunctivitis), and removal of a foreign object stuck in the eye. In the event of an emergency, call us for urgent eye care.

  • As we reach middle age, particularly after age 40, it is common to start to experience difficulty with reading and performing other tasks that require near vision. This is because with age, the lens of our eye becomes increasingly inflexible, making it harder to focus on close objects. This condition is called presbyopia and eventually it happens to everyone who reaches old age to some extent.
  • Astigmatism is a very common eye condition that's easily corrected by eyeglasses or contact lenses and on some occasions, surgery.
  • Try Latisse™  for longer, thicker lashes.
